CLEAR VISION CENTRE is a community based organization based in Kisumu. It
was formed in January 13th 2004. It comprises of men, women and youths who came
together and realized that they have a common feeling towards the plight of orphans and destitutes which is now very common
on our society. As a result of the spread of the HIV virus in our community,
it has resulted in the need in providing assistance to community members with the disease as well as educating the public. Our target group is the youth both female and male who are located in Kisumu
around Nubian Nyalenda, Manyatta, and Obunga estates.
Methodology:
We
intend to reach our target by liaising with local elders and administration. Through
these people, we believe that we will definitely get genuine orphans who are in dire need of our support.
Background
Information:
A) HIV situation in our area is so grave. We
keep losing people at an average of one person per month. This leads to so many
children left parentless.
b)
We need to sensitize our community about having positive attitude by changing their behaviors and trying to assist the effected
and infected victims. We also intend to import some skills and knowledge to the
said victims.
Conclusion:
Many
disadvantaged orphans and destitute in the community who never had the chance to acquire skills and knowledge in various courses
have been given the opportunity to fulfill their dreams.
With
the skills and knowledge they can be able to seek employment or be self employed hence making them to be responsible members
of society.
